Introduction
Aosulife Pte Ltd, along with its product Aosu (hereinafter referred to as "Aosu," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy concerns. This Privacy Notice describes the types of personal information we obtain about consumers and how we process sensitive personal information, how we may use the personal information, with whom we may share it, and the choices available regarding our use of the personal information. The Privacy Notice also describes the measures we take to safeguard the personal information and how individuals can contact us about our privacy practices. This policy is designed to comply with international data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and U.S. state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information We Obtain About You
We obtain certain personal information in connection with the products and services we provide. The types of personal information we obtain include:
● Contact and Account Information: such as name, email address, online password, and other log-in details.
● Payment Information: such as name, billing address and payment card details (collected and stored by our third-party payment processor on our behalf). Aosu stores only the last four digits of your payment card and the expiration date.
● Device and Product Information: such as the name, description, and installation location of your Aosu product; your Wi-Fi network information; and your product's model, serial number, and software version.
● Geolocation Data: the geolocation of your mobile device if you consent to the collection of this data. Certain features collect geolocation in the background only with your permission when you enable these features.
● Usage Data: data about your interactions with our mobile apps and services.
● User-Submitted Content: information you submit through "Contact Us" features, customer support tools, or career applications.
● Social Media Data: content you post on our official social media pages.
● Sensory and Biometric Data: This is the core of our Service. To provide you with smart camera functionality, we obtain:
● Video and audio recordings, live video or audio streams, and images captured by your products.
● Data our products collect from their environment (e.g., motion, temperature, ambient light) to perform their functions.
● Biometric identifiers, such as facial features, if you explicitly enable features like facial recognition.
1.2 Information We Obtain by Automated Means
When you interact with our websites and apps, we obtain certain information by automated means, such as cookies, web server logs, and similar technologies.
We may use these automated technologies to collect information about your equipment, browsing actions, and usage patterns. The information we obtain may include your device IP address, device identifiers, browser characteristics, language preferences, clickstream data, and dates and times of visits.
These technologies help us (1) remember your information; (2) understand how you use our services; (3) tailor the services around your preferences; (4) measure usability; and (5) manage and enhance our products and services.

2. How We Use The Information We Collect
We may use the personal information we obtain about you to:
● Provide, operate, and maintain our products and services.
● Establish and manage your Aosu account.
● Process orders and payments.
● Personalize your experience.
● Allow you to stream, save, and share content.
● Increase and maintain the safety and security of our products and prevent misuse.
● Communicate with you and provide customer support.
● Perform analytics to improve our business.
● Protect against fraud and other criminal activity.
● Comply with legal obligations.
Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK): We process your personal information based on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR:
● Performance of a Contract: To provide you with the core services you have requested.
● Consent: For marketing communications and for processing sensitive data like precise geolocation or biometrics (where required by law). You may withdraw consent at any time.
● Legitimate Interests: To improve our services, for security purposes, and for marketing our own similar products and services, where our interests are not overridden by your rights.
● Compliance with a Legal Obligation: To comply with tax, accounting, or other legal requirements.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.We may share your information with:
● Service Providers: Companies that provide services on our behalf (e.g., cloud storage, payment processing, analytics, customer support). These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements.
● Business Partners: With whom we jointly offer products or services, or for payment processing.
● Legal Authorities: When required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
● Business Transferees: In connection with a merger, sale, or other transfer of all or part of our business.
International Data Transfers:
Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including Singapore and the United States. We ensure all such transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and UK International Data Transfer Addendum, to provide a lawful basis for the transfer and ensure your data is protected.
4. Your Rights and Choices
You have certain choices regarding your personal information:
● Marketing Communications: You can opt-out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions. You cannot opt-out of service-related communications.
● Account Settings: You can access, correct, or delete certain information through your Aosu account settings.
● Recording Subscriptions: If you subscribe to Aosu Cloud, you can access and delete your recordings at any time during your subscription period.
Your Data Protection Rights:
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
● Access and receive a copy of your personal information.
● Correct inaccurate information.
● Delete your personal information.
● Restrict or object to our processing of your information.
● Data portability.
● Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).

5. Notice to California Residents
This section supplements the information above for California residents under the CCPA/CPRA.
Categories of Personal Information Collected and Disclosed: In the last 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information listed in Section 1. We disclose identifiers, commercial information, and sensory data to service providers for business purposes.
Your California Rights: You have the right to:
● Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.
● Request deletion of your personal information.
● Correct inaccurate personal information.
● Opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. As stated, we do NOT sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
● Limit the Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We only use sensitive personal information (like biometric data) to provide the service you requested, for security, and other exempt purposes. Therefore, we do not offer a limit use right for this data as it is not used for inferring characteristics.
● Non-Discrimination: You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

6. How We Protect Personal Information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure, or use. These measures include:
● Encryption of video data in transit and at rest.
● Strict access controls and authentication procedures.
● Regular security monitoring and assessments.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
● Account Information: Retained for the duration of your account lifecycle.
● Video Recordings (Aosu Cloud Subscribers): Retained for the duration of your subscription and accessible by you. You can delete them at any time.
● Biometric Data: Retained only as long as your account is active and the feature is enabled. Deleted upon feature disablement or account closure.
8. Event Previews
8.1 To enhance user experience, a screenshot from your event recordings will be recorded and displayed as the "Event Preview," which will be processed through Aosu's cloud infrastructure and used in the following two services provided to you:
● Push Notification: Event Previews will serve as a thumbnail in push notifications sent to you, enabling you to obtain a quick overview of the event.
● Event Display: Event Previews will be presented as the cover image of events in your event list, facilitating your ability to quickly navigate through and locate specific events.
8.2 Data Protection Commitments
● Limited Use: Event Previews will not be used, disclosed, or transferred for any other purposes beyond the two specific services set forth above.
● Encryption of Processing: all processing of Event Previews will be conducted with encryption measures.
● Restriction on Access: Event Previews are solely for your personal viewing. Neither third parties nor our internal staff will have access to Event Previews.
● Facial Data: since Event Previews are captured from the video recordings generated by your camera, they may contain facial data by accident. If you have not enabled facial recognition-related functions, we will not use facial data contained in Event Previews for biometric sampling, identification, or similar purposes.
9. Facial Data Processing
9.1 Purpose of Facial Data Processing
If you choose to enable facial recognition–related functions, we will obtain your facial data and may upload it to the cloud.
Facial data may be used for technical optimization and performance improvement of facial comparison algorithms, including the automated distinction between familiar and unfamiliar individuals.
9.2 Storage and Security of Facial Data
● Storage Period: Facial data will be retained only for the minimum period necessary to fulfill the processing purposes described above. Upon expiration of the retention period, such information will be automatically deleted or anonymized;
● Security Measures: Facial data will be stored on servers located in your region and protected by comprehensive security measures, including but not limited to data encryption, access control, security audits, intrusion detection, and other appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, to strictly protect facial data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse;
● Transmission Standards: Facial data is encrypted throughout the entire transmission process and is used solely for the specific purposes described above. It will not be unlawfully disclosed or provided to any third party.
9.3 Your Rights and Choices
● You have the right to access, correct, and delete your facial data;
● If you do not agree to these updated terms, we will cease the collection and processing of your facial data;
● The processing of facial data relating to minors below the age defined by applicable law requires the consent of a parent or other legal guardian.

10. Updates To Our Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our practices. We will post a notice on our website and/or in our mobile app and may notify you via email of significant changes. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this Notice.
